Price per Letter の概要

A price per letter for each product
Free letters first, then a fee for the rest

A name banner or an engraved keyring takes more work the longer the text is, and one fixed add-on price is too much for a short name and too little for a long one. This app adds a page to your dashboard that lists the products with a custom text box. For each box you set a price per letter and, if you like, a number of free letters, with an example of the fee. When a customer types their text, the cart counts the letters and adds a separate fee line named after the product and the box. The same line shows at checkout. A quantity of 2 doubles the fee, and a product with nothing typed has no fee. Each order then pays for the letters it uses, with no sums to work out by hand. Letters are counted the way a person reads them, so "A", "あ" and an emoji are one letter each. Spaces are not counted unless you switch that on. The fee for each cart line is rounded to your store currency. The app keeps one row of settings in your site's data: the prices, the free letters and two switches. The text customers type is counted but not stored or logged. The app edits no product, and the only thing it adds to a cart is the fee line. The screens are in English and Japanese, light or dark.
