PROMISED MUCH, DELIVERED LITTLE – DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED!
Firstly, just to make it clear, my website (linked here) was created by myself. I need to point this out as I do not want Blair to take any credit for the creation of my lovely website.
I needed the help of an expert to optimise SEO and to improve the effectiveness of my website, so I searched among Wix recommended professionals (“Hire a Professional” link). This is where I found Blair and others. Initially Blair seemed to be the right choice for me as he was a “branding specialist”, enthusiastic and had many suggestions on what was required to really get my online business going. After an initial payment of £250, a couple of small tasks were (apparently) done - checked SEO and fixed Indexing in Google. After this initial engagement, we had another discussion which became a list of additional things to be done next, mostly based around social media shop setups, Google Business Profile setup, QR Code, and training in normal use of these, once setup. Blair documented this in an email and noted that the social media tasks would be done by the end of that day. This was exciting for me! We agreed on a “discounted” price of £300 for this additional work. As I had only a very small budget for this, Blair kindly suggested he could accept a first payment of £100 and the remainder to be paid once the website was making income. Nice!
After being sucked-in by the above, over the next 2 weeks there were many promises and a long list of personal and technical excuses as to why things were not progressing, but Blair was still reassuring and convincing that everything would be OK. On a Saturday morning he messaged to say he had created a QR code (still had to be re-worked by myself). He also said, due to his “disaster at home”, that he now needed another payment of £100 urgently. I agreed and responded promptly as any compassionate person would. He then waited for the confirmation the funds had been sent.
This is when things started to go downhill rapidly. Communications were becoming few and far between, inconsistent and very brief. Verbal commitments were made and not followed up on in the agreed timeframe. There were some messages and calls from Blair which promised something would be done, but the vast majority of these assurances came to nothing.
Overall and in the end, Blair was extremely unprofessional, unreliable, and untrustworthy. He promises to respond back the same/or next day but will let several days or more go by which prompted me to send numerous emails and WhatsApp messages asking for updates on progress. I then asked him to update me daily with the tasks in question, which he agreed to. However, this again proved to be inconsistent. I paid in total £450 towards this work, however the vast majority of this remained incomplete or not even started. Now, over a month had passed with almost nothing actually done and completed, so I informed him I shall be terminating our agreement. I’ve requested a part refund from him (£200 – and that was being generous!) but to date have had no refund and no communications regarding it. I have also asked Blair several times to provide me with login/password details to any social media accounts which he may have created. This he has failed to do also. I then asked him to close any accounts created immediately and send confirmation of this. No response there either.
I’m now having to complete virtually all the tasks myself, as I’m not willing to pay for another Wix “Professional”. Blairs behaviour and performance has been unacceptable, and he has not honoured our contract. I cannot believe Blair has been a Wix Partner for over 10 years, treating his clients in this way. Why so few reviews after 10 years? Why no proper email address – only gmail?...

We agreed on few ideas and then about the payment. Then, the guy told me he will keep me updated weekly. First time he asked 600 pounds and few days after he asked another 300 pounds. I paid instantly, knowing it's a certified and approved wix partner. After that he didn't reply to my calls or What'sUp messages. After insisting a lot he barely answered in just few words that he has personal things to solve etc. Always he had a personal reason. Very unprofessional und not serious at all. I can prove that with emails and messages. I will sue him but the thing is that Wix guaranteed for this guy and i don't know what will happen.
So, Dear Wix Team, please do something in this regard. People like this guy shouldn't be promoted on any platforms....

Blair was great to work with, he created what I needed in my time frame and to perfect quality, 10/10 would recommend...

Working with Blair on this project was a delight. He's an extremely personable guy, is very flexible and his communication skills are great.
Blair actioned the specific items I needed help with efficiently, and was proactive and creative with suggestions for improvements to my site. He also worked hard to get everything done within the agreed budget. In addition, Blair is knowledgeable about the details of GDPR compliance which I found extremely reassuring.
I cannot recommend him highly enough!...

Blair is a great professional who for me emersed himself in my business to find and develop the tools i needed. this is rare.
hes super flexible in approach and brings alot to the table.
i have been back to him 3 times already for updates, rebrands and new parts to the site.
we also have plans next year to add another part to the site......
