I was looking for a logo for our independent movie campaign, and after a google search, I found 10COM. The fee was very reasonable, and the results were fantastic. They sent me three fresh and interesting logo designs within a few days and any one of them would have worked. But one was exceptional. They did three rounds of changes, but in the end, we went with their original design and our movie opens next month!...

I bought a 20 hour package that was on sale during a holiday promo in July of 2021 and worked with a team member at 10com that is no longer with them. I was satisfied with the original work and the team member was very friendly and took time to answer my questions and help guide me to get my website launched.
I bought another 20-hour package in November of 2021. This is where my experience took a drastic turn. I reached back out to my lead several times over a three month period asking if we could get started working on the next phase of my website. On April 5th, 2022, I received an email from a new project lead, Mark. He stated my first lead and a few of their team members had been involved in an accident and had been placed on FMLA. Mark shared that I would work with him. Over the next many months, our work was slow. I would email Mark, and receive delayed replies from saying he “missed the email from me”, or my email went into his Spam. I became frustrated with the lack of progress on my website and requested to set up a call with Mark to discuss updates for my site. Each time, he refused my request, saying that all communication had to be via email per company policy. I explained my technical limitations and offered to use my package hours again for a conversation. I wasn’t expecting this for free. With such limited progress on my website, and feeling defeated, I didn’t want to lose the hours I had paid for, so on February 9, 2023, I inquired with Mark if I could use my package for SEO services. After a few weeks with no reply, I followed through on a gut feeling that something changed at the company and I had become an insignificant customer.
I did some research and found out that Mark had lied to me about my former project manager being in an accident. I felt betrayed and decided I could not work with a company who would lie about the well-being of their employees. On March 14, 2023, I emailed Mark about my terrible experience, confronted him about lying to me, and asked to speak to his boss, to which he replied: “The underlying tone and accusations will not be tolerated. We have been more than desirous to work with you, assist you and execute any/all requirements…". “The demand to speak with my boss has been denied. I report directly to the principals and my determination is final. I am not an attorney but this is sounding like extortion to me. 10COM Web Development is not in the practice of breaking company policies in the event of extortion but is prepared to take action. Additionally, we are prepared to act accordingly in the event of slander or defamation and will seek compensation for any damages that result from such action,”
My time stamped email to Mark clearly says, “I’m requesting a full refund and if you can’t make that happen, I want to speak with your boss.” I “requested” a refund, and the only threats that have been made have been towards me by 10com. I know we can only imagine how companies would take advantage of customers if people were threatened with legal action for leaving a review. I chose not to be bullied and have documentation to back up everything I have shared here, and more.
The integrity of a business is based on the people who work for it and how a company chooses to serve customers or manipulate them through their fine print policies. I hope if you take the time to read this, you will be saved your money and time. I would never have paid more money to 10com if I knew they would refuse to speak with me and not work collaboratively until the work was complete and I was satisfied.
I have been satisfied using WIX as my website platform, while I need to make sure that WIX and other businesses are aware of this damaging experience with 10COM. 10COM is not the type of provider you want to recommend. We need companies that we can help make our businesses better, not threatening us and wasting our time and resources. I have spent hours on this and now I need to start over trying to find a new web developer. ...
the designs for a logo were fantastic but now that I am ready to choose one I cannot find them!!!! Other than that I was very pleased with their work. I just put in a call to them to ask for help and I hope they will respond quickly !...

Thank you for the detailed explanation.
I see a different story.
You provided the first design concept and it was out of target. I tried to deliver particular qualities of the business for your better understanding but it seemed to remain helpless.
I requested changes.
You couldn’t make it and after 10 days admitted the fact. Nevertheless, for some unknown reason you provided the second concept that was not working again. In spite of the fact that I did not request it, now you are sending the third concept doing everything as you please. You had better do nothing rather than install for the main page an image that was never discussed. The last two changes indeed can't be taken into consideration as rendered service.
If you follow the pattern you will see two things happen constantly.
One, you keep up with a project timeline at your only convenience. Second, you keep changing the project on your own without coordination and communication with the customer.
Honestly, I don't see what may nodged you to come to a situation when you break up your relationships with the customer. You have failed when you faced challenges that require spending a bit more energy.
Regarding color palette, I warned Mark twice that existing colors and icon's design should be changed as the logo design was done before with regards to completely different website design. Is that still so odd?
That is how I see it from my standpoint.
Now, unfortunately, the desired product is not delivered. What you provided is invalid leaving aside the customer's guidelines and expectations. I am frustrated. I can't use what you did. I want my money back as you let things rip so easily.
Or, you have to finish the job whatever you will or not. You can change the project manager.
Mark B and the team are amazing. Mark not only was responsive but listened to what I was looking for. The end result was a beautiful website that I honestly couldn't have come close to doing myself. I greatly appreciate Wix.com for having them on their list of professionals....

They did an amazing job, communication was excellent, and timing was great. I highly recommend. My designer gave me more than 20 designs to choose from and worked with me to drill down on a design style that fit my business and represented me in the best fashion. I couldn't ask for anything more...
